I am about to renew lease for a year. My landlord and I have agreed on monthly rent increase amount.

Only problem now is my broker (who lives in bldg., and administers leases for a lot of units) wants to charge me a $300, for a "lease renewal fee". When I asked her for more specifics (since updating lease will literally take 15 min...l not $300 worth of work), broker says the fee was noted in original/current lease. I checked and it is not.

Can my broker scam like this?
