It sounds like there is a tax abatement on your building. J-51, 421-a?How long have you lived there? Need more info, but even if you weren't rent stabilized when you moved in, the granting of a tax abatement during your tenancy means that you became stabilized and will remain so even after the expiration of the tax abatement, as long as you live in that apartment. Once you move out of that apartment, it is not longer stabilized.

Am I correct on this?
