The attorney that I faxed my information to is the attorney of a family member who is not a landlord/tenant attorney. Would you know where I could get free/low cost legal assistance?

Im scheduled to appear in Kings County and was told that they have free lawyers and legal aid on site and I should just come early on the day Im scheduled to appear. Do you think that's enough?
