I moved in as a roommate a year & a half ago to a rent stabalized building in Manhattan. I signed a lease provided by my roommate but did not sign one through our landlord.
About 6 months ago, my roomate accepted a job upstate NY but didn't want to legally sign over the lease to me since she would keep her things in her room and visit occassionally.
The landlord recently caught wind of her not living here 100% of the time and decided not to renew the apartment lease when it is up in a couple of weeks.
Do I have any rights in this situation?
