As for the lack of notice, I think he is only allowed to keep the amount of rent he has lost i.e. nothing.Inform this pleasant person that if you do not recieve a check in the mail within 20 days you will see him in small claims court.DO NOT BE NICE.This guy is trying it on.If you dont get your money you allow this practice to happen to others who do not have the ability to defend themselves.
