... the same thing about Rudy 7.5 years ago, especially after he lost the first time he ran.

The four democrats in the race are patent losers. Do you that the black and latin vote is going to come out big for a bunch of white guys (Ferrer would get the latin vote, but stands a snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination, especially with Sharpton leading him around by his nose)

No one want that bunch of political retreads. And, as much as people are sick of Giulliani's excesses NO ONE want to go back to the Dinkins era mayhem (we, except maybe the drug dealers). A fresh Republican could pull it off

Bloomberg is an unknown factor. That may work for him because the other choices are known factors no one really wants.

: Bloomberg will self-implode after about three days of media scrutiny; right now he's still playing CEO - trying to play politics in the corporate-structure mode.
: We're all going to find out that Bloomberg is loonier than Perot -- and then New Yorkers will toss him out faster than a moldy orange.

:
: : : New Yorkers only have to put up with Giuliani as mayor for about six more months. (Phheww!!) Eight years has been long enough. Giuliani's recent "packing" of the Rent Guidelines Board with his yes-men was merely the latest of his un-democratic moves against tenants / people of New York City. And now we're all supposed to be jumping for joy that the rent increases are "only" 3% & 5% ... Give me a break.
: : : How much did your income go up this past year?
: : : Giuliani's proposal to dump the Loft Board is another of his recent anti-tenant moves -- luckily that one looks like it's dead in the water.
: : : But he does have that nasty habit of rearing his ugly head again and again...
: : : Six months from now let's rally at City Hall Park on Giuliani's last day and tell him - in very loud voices - how glad we're going to be to see him go! Humiliate the bum in a very public way and with very loud voices (sort of like the way Giuliani has consistently humiliated those he disagrees with).
: : : And while we're at it -- let's work to get those gates and the plaza at City Hall Park re-opened.
: : : The pendulum in NYC has swung way past the "corporate" line; it's time move things back in favor of the working people of the city.
: : : Let's get together and celebrate as we kick the bum out!!
