track the MO?

if you have the copy of the MO, there should be a tracking # or something on it and a phone # you can call to see if the MO was ever cashed. either your LL is trying to steal your rent money (because MO's are harder to trakc than personal checks) or he lost it after you gave it to him. if the MO hasn't been cashed, can't you put a 'stop payment' order on it? then you should be able to get a refund.

have you spoken to the LL about this, showing him the copy of the MO? maybe you can buy some time, maybe even pay the rent back partially until this gets straightened out. i just hope the LL isn't purposefully trying to screw you.
