These people sound obsessed with guarantors -- even for a short-term lease where the tenant pays the entire rent in advance.

They charge excessive application fees to the prospective tenants and to the prospective guarantors, among other excessive fees.

Why not forget about them and look elsewhere?

:
: I have been told by the mgmt company of an apt. in which I am interested that I must have a guarantor even though my salary exceeds 50X annual rent. In fact, they said that all renters regardless of income must have a guarantor. Is this legal? It would seem to discriminate unfairly when ability to pay rent is not in issue.

: Thanks.
