My lease on my non-stabilized NYC apartment is actually a SUBLEASE. Does this mean that the the overtenant , (not actually the LL) who claims to own the apartment, is in fact renting it. How does one go about finding this out? If he is leasing the apartment, I want to make sure that I am not being overcharged for rent. Thanks for the help!
