Once it's over that "magic" number and you make over a certain amount of money, the LL can fill out an application to start the process to take the apartment off the rent stabilized category.

: If you are in a rent stabalized apartment and your initial rent was under $2000/month, when it gets up to and over $2000/month is the apartment still under the stabalization laws? i.e. the rent can still only be increased the amount the city sets
