If you're willing to pay and it is required in your lease, just ask landlord to provide written permission that you can present as necessary. Or you may try some self-help measures, but I don't know the efficacy of these remedies. Try the link below or you can also try doing a search for termites and see what comes up. It sounds disgusting!!!

I can't understand what he could be thinking to let this go while they are eating his building up just for the cost of an exterminator. It will cost him a whole lot more when he has no front of the building left!!!
