NOT only can the security be increase BUT get this , if you are NOT in a rent stabilized apartment the landlord at the end of a lease can ask you to increase the security to 2 months rent... or else find another place to live...

: went you move into a apartment and you give one month security, and then while you live there and there is a rent increase, do you have to give more money to increase the one month security. Example moving in 500 a month rent plus one month security 500, now the next year the rent increase to 525, do you have to give the landlord 25 also to bring the security up to 525 also????????????????????????
