: Anybody else having trouble getting through to the DHCR rent info line? I tried several times this week, and kept getting a message that repairs might cause delays until March 16 (two weeks ago) followed by a busy signal. Finally, I called the commissioner's office to complain, and they had some extremely helpful person from the rent info office call me back with what I needed.

Their phone lines are up and running. I just used them today.

Don't be under any illusions about the DHCR. Their phone line people are pleasant but also totally ignorant. And as anybody knows who has dealt with that agency, the decisions handed down by DHCR are almost frightening in their illogic, inconsistency and capriciousness.
