not from texas, but it seems to me those grapes were your grandfather's property. the neighboring tenant not only does not own the grapes, he doesn't even own that fence. he's a renter right? i assuem the grapes had been growing for a long time, that never before had there been a problem, so there was sort of an unspoken thing about it. even tho there's no paper trail i can't imagine the court side with the renter. have you discussed this with the adjoining property's owner? no matter what, the tenant relaly doesn't have a legal right to destroy other people's property. if the grapes had been growing on his side of the fence and he yanked em without the LL's okay, he would be in the same brand o trouble, it seems to me.
