I have agreed to renew my apartment lease for another year at a rent increase by $50. My landlord has sent me a renewal form demanding that I pay an additional $100 as 2 months security. I had paid him 2 months rent as security last year when I moved in. Are landlords supposed to demand additional security as rent goes up?
