Helpful info -- thanks JJ.

I called DHCR for lack of essential services. I filled out their form for building-wide decrease of services as they instructed and sent it overnight. It'll get there first thing Monday. The City of New York Department of Housing and Development will be sending a visitor to call on LL and check my complaint.

: : When calling DHCR for information on essential services (or in my LL's case, a lack thereof) when I was informed that the LL has put in for an MCI. Surprised, I did not even ask more about it. Can a LL ask for an MCI before he does repairs? How exactly can LL go about requesting one? Does DHCR have to alert us to the LL's intentions via letter beforehand?
