Can my roomamte evict me?

Posted by kiwi29 on March 17, 2001 at 01:37:13:

I have rented two bed room apt in New York City and my name is only the one on the lease. Recently my roommate refuse to me pay the utilities because she noticed I have overcharged her. We got agreement verbally how much her rent is, what stuffs are including in her rent or not and what stuffs she can use in my apt. Then now she asked me pay the amounts I have overhcarged her back; she said she is to fax the copy to the check as proof to her attoreny and my landlord. Also, she said if I will not pay her the amount back, my landlord will evict me and her attorney will file the complaint with court of the City of New York. I am not sure can my landlord evict me by her complaint. I really like to know what is going to happen to me. Please give me advice professionally and specifically. I really appreciate.
