Generally in a NYC coop building, the board as full descretion as to whether to allow sublets, to whom they can be rented, for how long, for how much rent, and whether to charge any sublet fees. Whatever rules the board sets can be changed at whatever point they like.

: I am looking to buy a co-op as an investment, and wanted to know if it is legal to rent out the co-op?? Is it subject to the individual board? Please help. Thank you
