You should have any lease extension from your current landlord in writing......Yes, you can refuse a lockbox and to have your name/phone number placed in MLS system. You can not, however, refuse entry under guidelines of FL law - usually 24 hours advance notice. Ask for notice via e-mail or phone message and then have the listing/rental agent accompany the outside agent or bring prospects themselves. You should have a NO SMOKING sign on your front door and a note on the back of the front door to turn of any lights that have been turned on and ask that they leave their business card on your dining room/kitchen table....these are "old world" Realtor rules that seem to have been neglected over the last few years....they need to come back and you can help. Good luck.
