We live in Upstate NY, rent a private house and are about to sign a 1 year lease with our landlord. He wants to put the house on the market to "test the waters", he wants an obscene amount for the place and even he doesn't think he will get what he wants. he will only have it on the market for 2 months he says but he is giving us the 1 year lease while listing the house.
A. Does the buyer if it sells have to honor the lease until the end?
B. Can the landlord legally put a clause in the lease that says if it sells we have _____ days to get out?
I can not find this info anywhere on line--but them I am trying to find it while caring for my three toddlers....can anyone help??
