Just when you thought it was safe... he's back! So Richard, please remember to try to clearly think through your responses. Depending on the location, tenants in burned out buildings (if it can't be occupied) can sometimes maintain their tenancy rights by paying $1 per month. Whether the tenant has a right to seek legal address with the landlord may depend on several factors, including any neglect that might have occurred. But it has nothing to do with renters insurance. Richard has a thing about insurance... he thinks the world revolvess around insurance agents. While it may indeed be a good idea to have inssurance, it does not create orr hinder any legal rights the tenant may have.
