I have a copy of the check he cashed which has a note that the check is for deposit for the apartment located at such and such address. This is not a sublet. This person simply owns an apartment in the coop buiding and subleases it. Thanks.

: Do you have anything in writing? Any papertrail of some sort? I'm wondering if this is legal...for the owner of an apartment to take money from a sublet...or am i wrong, this was not a sublet and you were taking over ownership of the co-op?
