i think it has to do with the politics between the new superintendent and the managing agent. The word on the street is that the new super wants his own people it. meantime the guy they may fire is a union employee and not "at-will" so they just cant fire him.

: If you're in a coop, you need to take your gripe up with the coop board, since you are a co-owner of the building.

: You say the firing was "illegal" but I doubt it as most employees are "at-will", meaning they can be fired or quit at any time for any reason. Of course the board probably had its reasons for dismissing them, and providing for workers is not really the purpose of a housing coop. But if you think the board went askew in making this decision, by all means tell them.
