Ignorant again, TenantNet has it ALL wrong

Well you heard it straight from an owner -- there is good reason from an owner's perspective to refuse a check from someone not on the lease, and the reason has everything to do with rent regulations.

Did I say rent regulation causes every ill in the world? No. Rent regulation DOES cause higher prices for housing in NYC and adds an unnecessary layer of bureacracy to the rental process. This has been proven in study after study, including the one I'm citing below, which you censored from a previous post.

I get the feeling that your interest here is to argue with tenants over semantics and carp on about gentrification and other politically correct causes. If you persist this type of innane bickering I may decline to visit this board, and tenants will go elsewhere for factual, sound advice.
