The Housing Court computer is supposed to keep records in its database for 7 years, if memory serves. But only one borough's records are available in each borough. Anyway: mine from 1992 is still in Manhattan.

Go to the Queens Housing Court: look yourself up in the public access computer.

Are any of your post-97 addresses in Queens? Did you list the Queens address on your application? If not, your landlord might not have his agents check the Queens computer.

Be prepared to explain the 97 problem in landlord terms.
