It's kind of a tricky question -- how is the granddaughter and former husband's relationship after the divorce? Did it end amicably? It may not have -- and you may not have all the details. It would be terribly uncomfortable all around -- unless the grand daughter does not live or visit there, so there's no chance of them bumping into each other or having an awkward or violent scene. Ask yourself a couple of questions: Do you want to be in the middle of someone else's family stuff? My answer is no, but you may not think this is the case here and just want to have him over because of right to have a guest issue alone. What I'm saying here is, if it's going to cause controversy with the landlord and you want a good relationship going with the landlord, then forget about it.
