Hi Guys.

I was wondering, what are the conditions for a landlord to withhold a security deposit?

If I have a two year lease, and if I ask the landlord to get out of it early, does he have grounds to deny me my deposit? Or, is it simply based on the condition of the apartment? If he agrees to release me from my lease, does he owe me the deposit?

Just curious.
