the squeaks can be stopped by driving nails into the wooden floor if the landlord doesn't respond to your complaints.... get a box of thin nails and some wood putty... drive the nails in and sink them a bit lower with a special tool for that and then fill the tiny hole with wood putty....if the landlord tries to keep your security for it... then use your security for the last months rent
