Actually we AGREE! if you read the case Its says if he HAD sucession rights as of June 19,1997 that means he has to prove his curent address was his permenat address on June 19 1995......then he is in the clear and there willbe NO INCRESE in rent! .....no vacancy increase is allowed!

So the most important date in yours and his life is June 19,1995 what was he doing on that date...that will tell you if you are entitled to sucession.

No kidding!

: : P.S. What about the rent? If it was a rent-controlled apartment while the aunt was alive, does that mean my fiance can get the apartment for the same amount? If not, what percentage can they go up on rent and that includes needed repairs (apartment is over 40 years old)?
