I moved out 2 months ago from this Virginia apatment after completing my lease.
Before moving out, the staff did a preliminary inspection. I was told that normal wear and tear and child,s crayon writing are not unusual and since I have lived there for 3 years ,the carpet will have to be changed anyway.(being old) NOW,2 months after that,Today I recieved a bill for some $2100 saying these are charges for carpet,paint,and cleaning of apt. I am shocked! Can you please guide me what can I do to protect myself from this daylight robbery?
