Read your lease. Does it have a provision allowing the landlord to terminate your lease early if the house is sold, or for any other reason? If not, you should be able to remain for the full term of the lease.

: I have lived in an apt of a two family house (In Westchester, NY) for 3 months. When I signed the 1 year lease I specifically asked the woman if she had any intention of selling the house, she said no and I signed the lease. Now she has sold the house and I have been given 60 days to get out. I can't afford to move again. Is there anything I can do? Can they kick me out with a lease? can I get moving expenses? Can I take the woman to court for signing a lease under false pretenses? I would really appreciate some help. Thank you, Aline
