My landlord has kept half of my security deposit for "cleaning expenses", yet the room was very clean- top to bottom. He also choose to not personally inspect the room on the day of move-out, and allowed the new girl to move right in. How can he say it was dirty when he was not there? I do have a witness to the condition of the room but no pictures. There was also never a written lease for the room rental- so no set conditions for move out procedures. The charges were- a dirty ceiling fan and window blinds and the wood floor was not buffed!!! How hard would it be to sue for this money?? Worth my time? This would be 200+ bucks!! I have already wriiten a letter of complaint- but no response
