The land slide situation was an "act of God" which affected traffic flow on the entire avenue, and not your apartment directly. The link you included has detour directions which your visitors can follow to go to your apartment.

You are required to continue under the terms of the lease that you agreed to. Your only option at this point would be to talk to the property owner, tell him you would like to move and ask to be released from the terms of your lease. Never hurts to ask.
