Your landlord has a kind heart, he is offering to help you find a new apartment and pay your first month's rent ? Unheard of.

Needless to say, take him up on his offer. You have already been given 30 days notice. If you stay beyond this you will be evicted. You will not be responsible for the new owner's mortgage, they will simply evict you. Again, take the landlord up on his offer and leave now, you won't find anything better.

-EdIf our timing is correct, this will be message #10,000 (you can tell by looking at the file name iin the URL).

We've been thinking about changing this message board in a variety of ways, and that calls for new software. We're evaluating several different packages and we need some practical usage and feedback to see the strengths and weaknesses of each. So, for the time being, we will encourage you to test run both of the packages were looking at -- and we will continue to leave this board open.

Let us know what you think, what you would like to see. Please try both of them. In both cases, they have yet to be fully configured, and both have upgrades and hacks that we are considering. The section topics we put in are somewhat arbitrary, so that can also be modified depending on interest. Who knows, maybe we can give Richard his own section!

: I live in New York City. My landlord put the building up for sale and on the first day of showing it, someone bought it. They informed me on July 9,2000 the same day. They informed me that I would have to move by September 30 and the landlord also sent me a certified letter and 30 day notice. My landlord offered to assist me in finding a new apartment and to pay my first months rent for the new place. They are also returning my security deposit with interest. I have no lease. I have lived here 8 years and have a wife and two children. If I can't find an apartment, can the new owners hold me responsible for their mortgage since they cannot move in with me here or can I be evicted by my present landlord who served me with the 30 day notice? Our credit is bad which made it difficult to find a place so far. Speedy reply please.
