DO NOT make your rent checks in consecutive order, skip a few checks each month write a few checks in between........ No kidding there was a non primary residence case whare the landlord had the tenants last 10 months checks all in consecutive order..... tenant lost!

: Send your rent check each month fed-ex to your sister, then have her deposit it in the mail on the 2nd or 3rd of the month. so it will have a NYC postmark, and your NYC address on the checks......just to CYA!
