: Interesting article in the Village Voice on community organizations enlisting banks to press landlord/mortgagees to make repairs. Can anyone who has had experience with this provide any advice on how to go about approaching the banks?

No experience yet. But I had been considering contacting my building's lender since the last HPD-go-round. It was same-old same-old: I report one very seirous thing, HPD sees ten, puts three into the computer, people retaliate against me. I've been thinking of contacting the bank for some time: anonymously sending the violation or subsequent false certification to it. It felt like sneeking around or telling out of school, so I hadn't done it. Guess I should pick up a free paper copy of the Voice and just do it!
