Brooklyn Housing Court Judge Silber was severely critical of a housing court law firm which represents landlords, Cohen, Hurkin, Ehrenfeld, Pomerantz and Tenenbaum, in his decision in Parras v. Ricciardi, reported in the New York Law Journal, June 28, 2000.

The law firm made several attempts to evict a 90-year old tenant, without mailing the court papers to the nursing home where she was living, and without letting the court know that the tenant may be mentally incompetent.
