: My landlord is in the process of evicting me for late payement of rent. I noticed, on my lease, the term says for "24 years" instead of "24 months" a MAJOR typo. Also, at the bottom of the lease it says "for use by Montgomery County Realtors Association Members only" I called, and my landlord is not a member. Can I have the eviction process haulted on a these "technicalities"?

Sued for late payment or non-payment? most evictions stop when the tenant pays, even if late.

In some jurisdictions, you might get the case dismissed, more likely the court would allow the landlord to amend the petition to conform to the evidence. Where do you live? What does your research on Tenant.Net reveal about the eviction procedure there?
