I have an apt. in a 2 family house in Bay Ridge Brooklyn with no lease nor is it regulated. I was just informed by my landlord that he wants me to move w/i 30 days for a really ridiculous matter. I really cannot afford to move at this point. Is there any way of prolonging my eviction? If he accepts my rent and still takes me to housing court can I get in trouble or have to pay him more $$ for not moving? Or will this just buy me some time to find another place? If anyone has any suggestions or other options I would really appreciate it.
