Where do you live? In New York state you have 30 days from date of notice and the notice has to be very clear...not just "move out ASAP".

: Hi, I do not want to fight my eviction. However, I am not being treated fairly, and I need to know what I need to do. I live in a four unit apartment building. When I moved in, 09/01/99, I signed a six month lease and it was for apartment #108. Since then, I moved into a bigger apartment, same building, apartment #106. Landlord did not give me a lease for this apartment, apartment #106. Besides the fact that the lease on the old apartment #108 ran out in february 2000. Now the landlord sent me a ten day eviction notice on 05/26/2000. Since I have been paying for this apartment by the month, without a lease, doesn't he have to give me 30 days. Need advice ASAP Oh Ya, I live in indiana. Thanks
