: I live in a rent stablized apt in a landmark bldg in Greenwich Village. A drugstore chain is opening on the first floor. My landlord called to say someone -- he didn't know who-- needed to get into my apt to see something that might have soemthing to do with the drugstore or landmark status, he was vague. He would not say who, or why. I asked for a fax stating the facts. He said no and hang up on me. Am I under any obligation to allow strangers access under these circumstances?
