Ans.and new question

Posted by ppijn on May 19, 2000 at 10:10:05:

I previously asked for help re: landlord eviction
and the lack of services,to wit: holes in floors
bath-room bath-tub clogged all the time,sink
unusable, tiles off the walls, floor sinking becaus of constant water flow from up-stairs pipes,no
oven, not to mention heat and hot water problems
for all of the years.Yes, I complained,inspectors
came and some times they repaired the kitchen
wall that fell down, and put in a new toilet when
we couldn't use it,as it over-flowed if you used
it.I stopped paying rent, thinking that this would
force him to take me to court.Well it is over I
guess 10 years,8 or 15 take a guess,With what he
says,I say, and what I can research. The DRCR took
him to court. He says I wouldn't let him in, and I
owe all this rent. They now are forcing him to
make repairs. My follow up question, from the
last time I asked is >He never gave me a new
lease he refused many years ago. Also like a
jerk I spent the money and proceeded to get
into deep financial trouble. I want to know if
after all these years of taking his crap, and
living in hell, can he now tell a court he
refuses to take my rent, and throw me out?
also would the court give him all the back
rent?I filed a rent reduction request back in
94 have all the violations for my apt.Which
total 99.and can possibly get some some rent
for about 5 months. Is he not supposed to have
given me a lease?Doesn't that count.I am very
tired of fighting with him,and want to just
pay the rent, and live in peace. Is this
posible?I do not have money to move,It will
be money I max out a credit card with,if I
have to pay back rent.
