I live in a co-op building in Manhattan and rent my unit from the owner. She has decided she wants to do major renovations on the place. My lease is up in September and I would rather move out at that time than endure renovations while I am living there. I am looking for wise, knowledgeable NYers to give me some advice. What are my rights here? Your help will be much appreciated!
