Landlord won't show my "for-rent" appt.

Posted by Greg Fletcher on April 24, 2000 at 10:20:21:

I have been relocated to another state with my company and I have been paying rent on an empty apartment. The landlord won't let me sublet, so I have been doing all I can to rent the apt. so that I can break the lease. Everything from ads in the Vvoice to the Times ... but he wants to raise the rent over 20% and refuses to show that apartment to potential renters during the assigned hours. I am out of town, and feel trapped. Anyone have any suggestions ??
