I think you need a lawyer now, before you lose. When you lose, you can file an appeal: you'll need to file the papers immediately and ask the court and receive a 'stay' to be able to live in your apt... at least: go see the court's 'pro se attorney' asap: M-F, 9:30-5:00, aand talk to the woman at the tenant info table outside his office M-F 9:00-12:00, Manhattan
