I'm in a rentstablized apt in Queens, NY. I received a notice of a
MCI rent increase application today. The boiler and asbestos were removed during the month of Dec. 1994.I spoke to an employee at the Queens DHCR and was advised that the improvement was done over two years ago and the increase wasn't valid.
The employee also stated the foyer is not considerd a room. And lastly the cost of the improvement $87,600.00 doesn't deduct a $ amt for the coop reserve fund or any grant amts from Gov't agy for asbostos removal.Does his contentions appear valid?
