From Today's News Update in the New York Law Journal, Wednesday, March 22, 2000:
Housing Court Judge Ernest J. Cavallo, who has been sitting in Queens since he was appointed in 1997, has been named the supervising judge in charge of the Housing Court in Manhattan. He succeeds Acting Supreme Court Justice Margaret Cammer, who returned to the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn in January. Justice Cammer also acted as supervising judge for the Civil Court in Manhattan, but no one yet has been appointed to succeed her in that capacity. Civil Court Administrative Judge Fern Fisher-Brandveen said she expects to name a successor for the Manhattan post in the near future.
