I just received a new lease from the landlord I have been renting from for 1 year with the expected rent increase of $100 more than I was paying per month. That I agreed on but she also put a new security deposit of the new months rent in the box on the lease that is normally for new tenants. Of course I am going to address this but she can't charge me a NEW security deposit when she still is holding my orginal one can she? This may be a stupid question but I think it was just a reflex on her part.
