faulty arithmetic

Posted by Mindy on March 09, 2000 at 21:03:42:

My landlord made errors when adding the amount I owe him.

I sent him a check in the amount I believe I owe him.

If I have to appear for a hearing and an error appears in the amount I paid him/still owe him, could/would a judge grant an eviction?? Would errors on both sides cancel each other out?? or???

I received a Three Day Notice. What does that refer to? Will he file a Petition within 3 days after not receiving what he thinks I owe to him or what?

Today was my last day to submit payment to him, which he received according to my receipt. If a landlord files a Petition, how long does it usually take after the payment deadline?

Thank You for All of Your Help & Guidance!!
Mindy
