I guess you dont want to live in Manhattan anymore........or else you would have treated your lease as GOLD!

Get the money and pay the Landlord before your court date...Preferable a LOT Sooner ...... ask your Parents.ask your freinds..take money out of your retirement account...sell anything of value

You know they want your room so they can charge $150 a night.....

Why give them ammunition to evict you?

You could move to Queens.....or to New Jersey .....

: Someone suggested to me that even if I pay my past due rent, the landlord may bring a summary judgment against me. Under what circumstances does that occur?

: I live in a rent stabilized room in a residential hotel that is being converted into a 'regular' hotel.

: The Notice to Pay which I received includes all the weekly rent charges, excluding my payments and rent abatements.

: I know I have to show that I did make rent payments. Is this common practice??
